Hello from me on the couch of our Gaston, NC home!
This time next week, Tammy, Tom and a New Zealand missionary couple will be on the last 2 legs of our trip to Luganville, Vanuatu. I still have some sewing to do and I need to keep trying to figure out how to download TV Land shows and National Geographics specials onto DVD. Otherwise, the practical side of getting ready is complete. Can any of us, though, be fully prepared for the spiritual work that needs to be done? Answer? My mind says "no" ... but Scripture promises that God will provide all that I need if I humble myself and remain fully dependent on Him.
In that regard, I ask for prayer. Nothing can be done in my own strength. Apart from the vine, I would wither in the face of temptation and attack. However, if I recognize my utter helplessness, then God will prove Himself faithful and strong. I can hardly wait to see how He does it! We may think we know how He can solve a problem but, in hindsight, we see that He had a far better plan for us!
